The use of ethylene gas at the correct concentration promotes uniform ripening of fruit.
The ethylene generator ensures safe operation with concentrations (~500 ppm) well below the explosive level (2.7% or
27,000 ppm).
The generator uses catalytic dehydration of the liquid, reaching 400°C in about 15 minutes. At optimal temperature, a pump doses the liquid into the reactor, which releases pure ethylene into the atmosphere through a valve. This system is ideal for the ripening of bananas, kiwis, persimmons, mangoes, avocados, and other exotic fruits, as well as for the de-greening of citrus fruits.
