Retarder® ethylene absorbers are a non-reusable blend of clays and oxidizing agents (such as potassium permanganate). They come in granular form and are intended for use in dedicated devices, transport filters, and sachets. The use of absorbers ensures clean air by removing microorganisms and volatile substances such as ethylene, acetaldehyde, ethanol, methanol, etc., which tend to accumulate in areas where fresh produce is handled and stored.
